The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, sometimes known as a Toller is a Canadian Gundog Breed with a unique job. They "toll", luring the ducks towards the waters edge and in range of the gun by their playful antics, then once the hunter has shot a bird they then retrieve in the same way as other Retrievers.

Tollers are a very intelligent breed who need mental stimulation and to be kept active. These red streaks of lightning are no couch pototoes.

We currently have two Tollers, full brothers from separate litters. Our older Toller is Camusmor Knockando at Ruddyduck P-Beg Ex., known to his friends as Rupert. He was joined in 2006 by his baby brother, Camusmor Whattabargin for Ruddyduck P-Beg Ex., pet name Ari. Both Tollers are watched over and supervised by our English Springer Spaniel, Spud.

In June 2009 the boys were joined by a Finnish Lapphund. As the name suggests Finnish Lapphunds, or Lappies as they are affectionately known, originate from Finland where they were traditionally used by the Sami people to herd Reindeer. Our Lapphund girl is Blairswolf Tulikki, pet name Eeva.
